Man, it's been a crazy last few weeks. This is the first week in six weeks that I haven't had at least one person sick. We have passed around strep and a virus and E contributed an ear infection to the mix. L thought he would be different and throw in a little Hand, Foot, Mouth Coxsackie virus. UGH! I am SICK of being SICK! I am tried of trips to the doctor and strips to the pharmacy. I am ready for a break! Luckily Spring Break is next week. WOO HOO! So excited to have a break for those sweet germy kids at school!
I did manage to get an outfit made for a friend of mine for her little girl's birthday party. She sent me this picture of a party table she found on Pinterest.
Isn't that pretty? Love it! You can find the original picture here at Kara's Party Ideas. Anyway, the colors for the party are aqua and pink (LOVE!). I sent her some fabric ideas and this is what we came up with.
Oh, how I love the dots! This fabric line is adorable. It's Children at Play by Michael Miller. So stinkin' cute!
So, in other news, my oldest artsy crafsy child was entered in a Youth Art Show by her art teacher. Unfortunately, she didn't win, but I still couldn't be more proud.
See all of those little dots? She used a whole punch to punch out the dots and glued them all on. It took her FOREVER!
What else is going on? It seems winter just pretty much skipped us altogether. It was 80 degrees here yesterday. WOW! I cannot even imagine how bad the mosquitos are going to be this year. And in other crappy spring news, I'm still fat. Gosh, I hate that! I've been too busy to even make it to the gym the past few weeks. I have been watching what I eat. Unfortunately, I've been watching myself eat pizza and cheese dip and tacos. So not good for my backside. I've got to get back on Livestrong.....right after Spring Break. I deserve an award for The Best Procrastinator. I think I need some fashion inspiration. I'm sure that would help.
Happy Thursday, bloggy friends!!!
So wonderful to see a post from you this morning! It's been far too long! I hate that y'all have been so sick. Guess it's just that time of year. Abby was sick for several days with a fever, sore throat, and no energy or appetite. Knock on wood, Chris and I haven't come down with it. Hope that continues! I love what your daughter created! I can't imagine gluing all those tiny dots on! Have a wonderful day, Tanya!
ReplyDeleteSorry for all the sickness. I'd been wondering where you were. Hope everyone is well on the road to health now. Cute little outfit and artwork, too!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear everyone's feeling better in your house! We've been through 5 sicknesses this season too and we're just starting to recover from the last one. Hopefully, this is it for awhile.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute little outfit too!
You're so funny, Tanya! I'm afraid I've been watching myself eat, too. I'm a small person, but my clothes are getting a little tight--I need to start watching myself exercise and drink more water!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry y'all have been so sick--I hope that things are looking up now!
Yay! I'm so glad to see a post from you. I had noticed that you were absent. I thought maybe you were partying till those cows came home.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you have been overrun with sickness. We've had it all over town, but so far I haven't been sick. My niece got sick while her soldier was home for R&R. Doesn't that stink?
Glad you're all on the mend, and I agree about the missing winter. I just hope spring doesn't bypass us completely too. It's already TOO HOT.
And I'm already complaining a little.
Sorry to hear about all the germies! Lysol has been my friend a time or two recently.
ReplyDeleteThe outfit is adorable. AND... you have such a talented gal!
Glad everyone is feeling better - hope it stays that way. Love the outfit and I love C's art! Some talented women at your house!
ReplyDeleteI hope the funk is out of your house!! It's no fun being sick especially if you all keep sharing it :)
ReplyDeleteThe outfit you made is adorable - I love the fabric.
That is THE cutest outfit! I seriously love it. I am so sorry for all the sickness...we've had crap going around here too. I think it's the "transition" in seasons that always triggers it!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the art. She is very talented.
I'm still fat too. Went to the home opener for ReAL Salt Lake, and when it started to rain I couldn't zip my jacket up. Nice, huh?
