Only each check was a little bigger on mine, like an 1 1/2 inches each. And thus began my obsession with houndstooth. I love it! But it hasn't always been "in". But you know what they say, give something enough time and it'll come back in style. I'm so happy to say that houndsooth is back again and I am thrilled!!!!
Just look at some of the cuteness I've been coveting.
Houndstooth curtains!
I'm dying to try houndsooth nails!
Love this rug from Garnet Hill
Oh my gracious! I am in LOOOOVE with this chair from Honey & Fitz blog.
So, I bought some houndsooth print quilting fabric. I'll show you what I made with it later in the week. So, do you have a fabric obsession?
Unless otherwise listed, images are from google.
Houndstooth definitely does make a bold statement. I've never owned a houdstooth jacket, but I sure would love one. I can hardly wait to see what you're creating. I know you won't disappoint! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE houndstooth, too! I had a cute little skirt I wore all the time - back before the kids came along... I loved it. And I love that wing chair!
ReplyDeleteI also love plaid in all its colors and variations.
I'm excited to check back and see what you've done with your quilting fabric!
I had a dearly loved houndstooth jacket in the 80s. It was longer than we would wear today. I should be ashamed to admit this, but I wore it with leggings/stretch pants. ACK. Yes, I did.
ReplyDeleteI am crazy about houndstooth too. Miss Whimsy and I just decoupaged a houndstooth hat box this weekend. Should have taken a picture before she left with it.
I recovered my bar stools with it, too.
Nuts about it, I am.
That chair is awesome! Houndstooth is classic. I don't think it ever really goes out of style altogether, just maybe the scale of it, or cut of the piece it's being used on. Like probably you couldn't get away with wearing your 80s jacket today! ;)
ReplyDeleteI was all about the houndstooth in the early 90's. My entire wardrobe back then was black, white, and red. Your blazer picture was definitely a blast from the past. I'm glad that they are coming back into style. Can't wait to see what you make.
