Well, it's almost 11:00 on Thanksgiving night and this is the first time in recent years that I'm not shopping or getting ready to go shopping.  I decided to skip all the Black Friday shopping hooplah this year.  Although, I might see if I can find a few good deals online.  But in honor of all the shopping, I decided I have just a little giveaway to get us all in the Christmas spirit.  Sounds okay to you? 

I just love this elf feet towel.  Y'all know I love me some polka dots so of course the elf socks and shoes HAD to have polka dots.  I love the way it turned out.  But instead of keeping it for myself, I decided I would share it with one of y'all.

Ruffled Kitchen Towel Giveaway

Tanya's Favorite Things Giveaway

Wanna know something you may not know about me?  I am a beauty product junkie.  I'm not as bad as I used to be, back when I had more $$ to spend on products, but I'm still a junkie.  I LOVE makeup.  I love lotions and moisturizers.  I LOVE to read beauty magazines, especially Glamour. 

I love makeup tips.  In high school, if I didn't have plans on a Saturday night (which sadly was quite often), I would stay home and do full makeup just to try out my products or to try applying my makeup in a new way.  I actually considered being a makeup artist, but couldn't find a school that specialized in makeup without having to learn hair and nails too.  I'm not good with hair.  My poor sister had to live through several bad haircuts because of me.  Sorry sis! 

So, today we are talking about my favorite beauty product, or more specifically, my favorite skin care product.

This is a picture of a snake molting - shedding it's nasty, scaly, skin.  This is how my skin looks and feels all the time without help.  I have the dryest skin EVER!  I used to get out of the shower, dry off and feel like my skin was about to crack open it was so dry.  It was disgusting!

A few years ago, I discovered Arbonne.  It's an all natural line of health and beauty products.  Almost everything I use is made by Arbonne.  One of my absolute favorite things is a good sea salt scrub.  Arbonne makes the best and let me tell you why it's the best.  Most sea salt scrubs contain mineral oil with added fragrance and salt.  Mineral oil does not allow the skin to breathe.  It sits on top of the skin and doesn't absorb.  It makes your clothes and sheets greasy.  Have you ever put on sunscreen in the summer, gone outside where it's hot and you feel funny because you're hot  but you can't sweat to cool off?  Does that make sense?  It's because most sunscreen containes mineral oil and your skin can't breathe or sweat.  Arbonne products do not contain mineral oil.  The sea salt scrub is made with real essential oils which actually absorb into the skin and leave you soft, not greasy.  The sea salt is harvested in France and is extremely healing.  It's far superior to ANY sea salt scrub I have ever tried.  I love it! 

I recently told my Hubby that I can deal with not being a beauty queen.

 I can deal with not looking like a Victoria's Secret model. 

Does anyone else want to smack her?  No?  Maybe it's just me.

What I cannot deal with is feeling like everytime he touches my arm that he's reminded of one of these:

EEEWWW!  I would much rather be so soft that he can't keep his hands off of me.  Wouldn't you?  Doesn't that sound good?

Mommy Pads Giveaway @ BCD

It's 8:20 in the morning and the house is still quiet.  It's a miracle.  I was using my quiet time to catch up on laundry blog reading because I am waaay behind.  I stopped by one of my favorite blogs, Blue Cricket Designs.  Becca has an awesome giveaway going on and I just had to let my best bloggy friends know about it. 

The giveaway is from Mommy Pads and More.  There are many, many gorgeous useful items to choose from and everything is personalized.  Y'all that know me, know I love anything personalized because when you grow up with a weird name like Tanya, you find NOTHING personalized.  Now, I obsessed with personalization.  My brother and sister (Mark and Kelly) could find anything they wanted with their name on it, but not me.  Nope!  But, I'm not bitter!  Anyway, check out some of this great stuff!

This is precious.  I mean, come on, dots and personalization?  What more could you ask for?  Yes, I so loooove my polka dots!

Okay, as the mother of four kids, I think this is GENIUS!!  I know my kids' teachers just love it when I send them notes on scraps of junk mail envelopes.  "Miss. Teacher, J lost his spelling list again.  Can you send home another one?"  Plus, I could just check which kids it is for.  Now, if my writing was better.  Hmmm!

My other favorite thing is:

No more dealing with those durn sticky address labels and having to write (in my unreadable writing) our return address.  I loooove this stamp!!!  Plus, all of those durn labels you get for free in the mail, almost always come in my Hubby's name and durn it, if I'm the one doing the mailing, I want some credit for it!  The family name works for me.  Love it!
