WEEKEND HAPPENINGS

Well, it's May again which mean it's the busiest time of the year for us.  With all of the end of the school year carnivals, concerts, tryouts, parties, recitals, etc.  it's been CRAZY around here.  We've got two more weeks of school and so much I need to do before I have the kids home with me for the summer.  UGH!

This weekend was the girls' recital.  We had dress rehearsal Friday night and recital Saturday night.  You know what the worst part was?  The makeup.  C HATES to wear makeup.  HATES!  IT!  She will complain and gripe for hours because she has to wear makeup.  UGH!  E, on the other hand, LOOOOVES makeup!  She could not put on enough.  I think I reapplied her makeup 3 times in an hour and a half and she insisted on doing her own lipstick.  That was attractive!  Anyway, I just thought I would share a few pics.

C and Nana.  This is the only picture she would smile for.  She hates having her picture taken almost as much as wearing makeup.

Me and E.  She was a ducky.  This baby is mine.  She loved performing.  She loved the stage.

What did y'all do this weekend?

  2. Ahhh, the memories of recitals. Great photos by the way.

What we did this weekend... spent time with Little Man Win, painted three canvases, made a bib and matching burp cloth for Win, went to church, drove up to Sherwood to visit a new antiques and collectibles place and found a treasure trove... Great weekend!

  3. I know you were busy if it was dance recital weekend. Both girls look so pretty! The duck costume that E is wearing is precious. I'll be driving 2 1/2 hours each way next weekend to watch my 10 year old niece dance. It's a long way to go, but I don't want to miss it!

  4. So cute! My DD has her recital this Friday. Gymnastics tonight, dance class tomorrow, dress rehearsal Thursday & recital Friday! I think she'll be excited about wearing makeup though, lol.
