My name is Tanya and I am a fabric hoarder. Yep, It's true. I find fabric that I absolutely love. I order the fabric and then once it's washed and ironed and ready to go, it's sits in a drawer. Why? Because it's just so pretty. I totally fell in love with this fabric. Isn't it gorgeous and summery (is that even a word?) - err, summer like (is that any better?). Anyway, isn't it pretty? Green is my favorite color.
I've had it since last year and I just HATED to think that whatever I make out of it, E is going to outgrow and my heart will be broken when she can't wear it anymore. It's so sad and just plain weird that it upsets me so much. I'm waaaaay to attached to my fabric! So, I finally decided to just do it. I cut it up and I made E an outfit. My favorite beautiful green fabric is now this:
Isn't that fabric adorable? Okay. let's look at another view.
Please forgive my ability as a photographer. Not only am I not good, but my camera is AWFUL! I'm afraid my model wasn't very cooperative either. Oh well.
The really good thing is that she should be able to wear it next summer too. YEA!

This is adorable!!! Adorable little girl too. :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! The fabric, the outfit, your little girl - all so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove the outfit. Was thinking though, when she outgrows it, would there be enough of it to make something else? Or use it to embellish something? I'm all about recycling. I cut up old scrubs to use for embellishment and quilt squares. (The kind with fun fabric) Waste not want not... ;)
ReplyDeleteSo so cute!! What a precious outfit!!! Love the hair bow too. :)
ReplyDeleteThe fabric AND the outfit are both adorable!
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI would have fallen in love with that fabric too. I love pinks and greens. The outfit is just adorable... exactly the type of thing that I used to like to dress my own princesses in when they were little.
She is precious. Well done!
Very cute!! Thanks for linking @Creative Itch's "Sew Cute Tuesday"!
ReplyDeleteAck! I have the same affliction. The fabric is just so wonderful that I have to think of just the right thing to justify cutting it up! Your creation does this sweet fabric justice, though, so good job!
ReplyDeleteI share your fabric-hoarding tendencies... in fact, I have this same exact fabric in my stash- hahahaha! I always think, "But what if I find the perfect project for this beautiful fabric and I already used it?" Faulty reasoning, I know. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have a linky party on fridays- we'd love it if you'd link to this! :)
