ANOTHER "M"

A few weeks ago, I came across this post and knew I had to try it for myself.  I started at da font and found a decorative M.  I enlarged it in Word and got ready to print it.  That is when I realized that my children had used every single piece of printer paper I had (they love to draw).  So, I found some old ivory resume paper hiding in a filing cabinet and used that.  I bought a silver frame at Wal-mart for $3.

I realized that the mat was ivory too.

That won't work.  So, being the impatient girl that I am, I decided I'd paint the mat with craft paint.

Then I painted the frame black.  Again, my imptience took over so the paint job is not the best.  I'll probably have to sand down a few spots and repaint.  But, here's the finished product.

Sorry about the fingerprints on the glass.  I need to clean those.

See the piece of furniture my new "M" is sitting on?  That's my next project.

  1. Oh I LOVE it! Now I want one. And I've painted mats countless times. Beats buying a new one when you need to change things up.
