The Green Hornet Movie Review

Well, most of the roads here are clear of snow and ice so we were able to get out last night for a little while.  Hubby and I had free tickets to the preview of The Green Hornet.  We both agreed that the movie looked "okay", but because it was free and we don't get out much, we decided we would go.

What is The Green Hornet about?

Following the death of his father, Britt Reid (Seth Rogan), heir to his father's large company, teams up with his late dad's assistant Kato (Jay Chou) to become a masked crime fighting team.  Here's the trailer:

Let me preface my review of this movie by saying that I am not a big fan of super hero movies.  They are just not my thing.  I didn't like Superman, any of the Batman movies, including The Dark Knight and I refused to even waste my time on Ironman, even though my Hubby swears it was a good movie.  I do, however, enjoy a good comedy.  So, on to The Green Hornet.

Seth Rogan was funny as always, but Jay Chou and the awesome car with all the gadgets stole the show.  Coolest car ever!!!  It was a cute movie.  There was plenty of action and just enough comedy to balance it out.  AND, Jay Chou, he's a little cutie pie.  Cameron Diaz is also in it, but ladies, there is only the suggestion of romance in this movie so don't go to the theatre expecing her to fall in love with anyone.  My opinion of the movie is that is was good overall, but I don't know if I would have paid full price to see it except that 3D movies are always better on the big screen.  So, there you have it.

In other FFB family news, I wanted to post a picture of my L, who lost his first tooth last week at school.  The tooth is nowhere to be found so we're not sure if he swallowed it or it got lost.

Just out of curiosity, is it a girl thing not to be into super hero movies?  or is it just me?

Have a fabulous Wednesday my friends!!

  5. I've never thought about whether I like super hero movies. I LOVE action movies. Um, didn't get into the Batman movies, but I did like Super Man when I was little.

Now I'm going to have to watch a super hero movie and see what I think! Thanks for the review!

  6. First, woohoo on the lost tooth, but oh no on the fact that it's missing. Guess you'll have to paint a kernel of corn white to stick under the pillow...

And to the Green Hornet? I didn't even know they had made a movie. I must live in a cave. The GH was my brother's favorite super hero. He had the lunchbox, LOL.

No, I don't like superhero movies. In some weird turn though, I totally loved the cheesy batman series on TV. I think I might have had a crush on Robin.
