I'M LATE FOR THE PARTY

I'm late!  I'm late, for a very important date.  Okay, it's not a date, it's a party.  Holly at Homebody is having a PB Knock-off party!  WOO HOO!

So, this is what I came up with.  It's not much, but I love it anyway.  I've been working with what Wal-Mart has because I haven't been to Hobby Lobby in WEEKS - not by choice, mind you.  I've either been iced in, had a sick kid or some kind of something going on with therapist meetings or school parties or painting, etc.  It's always something, isn't it?

So, here's my inspiration photo.

See that cute burlap tablecloth?  That's not it.  Didn't have time for that one this week.

See those cute hurricane lamps with the rope?  That's it.

All for $12 at Wal-mart.

I got really lazy and just taped the bottom of the rope.  Then I just wrapped it around and tucked it in on the backside.

It looks pretty good in my dining room on my new furniture (to be seen later).

Could it get an easier than that?  I think not.  I couldn't find these on the website, although I'm sure they were more than $12.00.

**After doing this post and examining a little closer, I see that the big hurricanes on the table had the rope on the INside of the glass.  OOPS!  MY BAD!  Oh well!

I'm linking up with Homebody Holly

  1. What a cool idea, and so easy to do! I think yours looks great the way it is...I think I'd be a little nervous about rope inside with the flame anyway.
Thanks for joining my party :)

  2. I like yours just as much!!! :) I love projects like this...they are encouraging to me to know that I don't HAVE to shell out $$$ at PB. I can find a way to make it myself for much less. :)

  3. So pretty! And I agree with Holly, rope inside the hurricane seems like a good opportunity for a fire!

  7. Looks great! I agree with everyone else. I think it looks better on the outside! The texture is more dramatic.

  8. I think it looks great either way, but on the outside it's less of a fire hazard! LOL
