When It Rains, It Pours

As the saying goes, when it rains, it pours.  Yep.  It's been CRAZY here for the last ten days.  So, I've spent the last few days catching up on orders (almost done),

taking kids to dentist appointments, going on field trips with my son's class

visiting with my BIL, SIL and niece who were in town visiting this week.  We've had several bad weather systems come through so we've had a few eventful nights that look like this

That would be five little ones in the bathtub (my three little ones and my niece and nephew) and my oldest daughter and my oldest niece all taking cover in my little bathroom.  Fun times!  Talk about family togetherness!  Luckily, the storm went a little north of us and only caused minor damage.

Easter is just around the corner and only the boys have clothes ready to go, thanks to my mom.  This means that I am in full-blown panic mode about Easter clothes for the girls and me.  Wanna see E's Easter outfit?

Yeah, me too.  Right now it's cut out and pinned and that's about it.  I only have a few hours today to get it done.  I've gotta be at L's Easter egg hunt by 1:30.  Better get started!

Hopefully I will be back next week in a more normal capacity.  Happy Thursday friends!

  1. Morning Tanya!
I've been meaning to shoot you an e-mail to check up on you, but I kept forgetting! Sorry 'bout that! Those little outfits look adorable! Sure wish I had the patience to learn how to sew...my mom was a really good seamstress. We had BAD storms blow through our area early in the morning hours...I didn't get a lick of sleep, so no treadmill for me today...I'm too pooped! Hope you have a great Thursday, as well!

  3. I would be a nervous wreck to have to spend an evening waiting out a bad storm like that. I'm glad you're all okay. I think someone should come up with a better term for "stay-at-home mom"- because I don't know any moms who aren't running here and there at least half the day! Hope you all have a happy Easter in your spiffy new outfits!

  4. I like what I see so far for E's outfit!! Very pretty. I actually bought myself a new dress this year, and I am so excited about it. :) Hope you guys stay safe and don't spend anymore time hiding out in the bathroom!!

  5. Hiding out in the bathroom sounds pretty scary. Thank goodness the bad weather just missed you.

You make the cutest things! E's dress fabrics are pretty and I'm sure the pattern you are using will end in a fabulous dress for her.

Do you save dressing yourself for last?

  6. You are such a busy little bee, Tanya! I haven't seen the most current post yet so I'm waiting for the big reveal on E's outfit.

I loved the picture in the tub. I know it wasn't funny at the time (huge phobia of mine!) but it's funny to think that you snapped the picture anyway.

    Glad all ended up well.
Now, off to see the Easter outfits.
