Okay, so technically it's some sort of plastic, not silver, but....it'll do for now. I immediately drove to Wal-Mart and bought the $8 can of chalkboard paint I have been dying to buy.
I painted two coats, probably not allowing enough time to dry in between. It has a slight smudge from my
finger, but it's not REAL obvious.
What do you think? I think I need another coat of paint and perhaps a cursive writing lesson from my son's 2nd grade teacher, but other than that....it'll do for $1.09 plastic tray OR at least until I find a great non-plastic one to replace it with.

Very cool! I love how it turned out! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it!! Thanks for the shout-out! :)
ReplyDeleteI bought LOTS of those trays at DT. I'm craftifying one into a magnet board. Magnets stick to them pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI've not made any chalkboards using the paint, but I've heard just flat, black paint will work. Anyone tried that?
